We build and look after business software.

Woshangjin is a small software company in London. We write web applications and internal tools for other businesses, connect the systems they already use, and keep everything running once it is live.

What we do

Most of our work falls into one of these areas. Often a project touches more than one.

Custom software

Web applications, admin dashboards and back-office tools. We usually work in TypeScript with React or Next.js on the front end and Node.js or Python behind it, backed by PostgreSQL.

Integrations

Getting payment providers, CRMs, accounting software and third-party APIs to talk to each other, so data stops being copied between spreadsheets by hand.

Hosting and infrastructure

Setting up and running the servers, deployments and monitoring behind an application. We mostly use AWS, Cloudflare and Vercel.

Technical advice

A second opinion on architecture, a code review before an acquisition, or help choosing between vendors. Useful when there is no in-house engineer to ask.

Our own tools

Alongside client work we build and sell a small number of software tools, mainly around automation and internal operations.

Ongoing support

Once something is live we can keep it patched, monitored and up to date on a monthly arrangement, with agreed response times.

How a project usually goes

A short first conversation

You tell us what the problem is. We ask questions, look at what you already have, and say honestly whether we are the right fit. No charge for this.

A written scope and quote

Before any work starts you get a document that lists what will be built, what it will cost and roughly when it will be done. If the scope changes later, the document changes with it.

Building, with regular check-ins

We work in short cycles and show you something working every week or two, so you can change your mind early rather than at the end.

Handover

You get the source code, the documentation and the cloud accounts in your own name. If you want us to keep looking after it, we can; if not, another team can pick it up.

A few things we hold to

  • You own everything. Code, accounts and infrastructure are set up in your name from the start.
  • Boring technology where possible. We pick well-supported tools that another engineer can maintain in five years.
  • Plain English updates. Written progress notes you can forward to your team without translation.
  • We say no sometimes. If a project is outside what we do well, we will tell you and try to point you somewhere better.
